Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to have the Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Member of Parliament for St. John’s South—Mount Pearl, address delegates at its upcoming Conference and Trade Show.
Kicking off the final day of Conference activities, Minister O’Regan will bring greetings on behalf of the Federal Department of Small Business and Tourism. Hospitality NL is also pleased to have Gudie Hutchings, Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains and Chair of the All-Party Tourism Caucus, attending this year’s event. MP Hutchings will introduce and moderate a National Tourism Panel comprised of leaders from four of Canada’s leading national tourism organizations: Charlotte Bell, Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC); Keith Henry, Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada; Maureen Riley, Destination Canada; and Philip Mondor, Tourism HR Canada. Each panelist will provide a synopsis of key national initiatives and priorities, followed by a discussion and Q&A to discuss how Newfoundland and Labrador fits into the national picture and how this province can maximize on and support these national efforts.
Also taking place on February 22, the Parks Canada Luncheon will feature guest speaker, David Millar, Executive Director, Atlantic with Parks Canada, as well as the presentation of the Sustainable Tourism Award.
