Celebrate Tourism Week: April 24th to 30th!

Tourism Week is an annual invitation for all tourism partners to come together to champion and promote Canada’s destinations, tourism businesses, and employees – from coast to coast to coast.

The rebuilding of Canada’s visitor economy is now underway, but there’s a long way to go before tourism reclaims being the $105-billion economic powerhouse it was pre-pandemic. That’s why this year’s theme is CANADA: Powered by Tourism!

We made the call and YOU answered. Throughout this week, Hospitality NL will be showcasing videos of tourism operators and partners sharing the value of tourism in Newfoundland & Labrador. Today: why choose a career in tourism?

Hospitality NL has teamed up with our partners at Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Adventure Central Newfoundland, Destination Labrador, Destination St. John’s, Go Western NL, and Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland to celebrate Tourism Week 2023!
Over 20,000 people are working in Newfoundland & Labrador’s tourism industry. Where else can you:
– connect with people from across the world,
– share cultural experiences,
– contribute to your community,
– support local businesses,
– preserve cultural heritage sites,
– and have a meaningful, lifelong career?

But don’t let us tell you. Hear what Hospitality NL members have to say in the video below:

We want YOU to share your tourism story! This Tourism Week, share a picture or video of your tourism business and your story of the value tourism brings to your community, the province, and the world!

Tag @HospitalityNL and be sure to use the hashtag #MyTourismStory to be part of the conversation.
