Tourism Week 2023: What Value Does Tourism Bring To Your Community?

Hospitality NL has teamed up with our partners at Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Adventure Central Newfoundland, Destination Labrador, Destination St. John’s, Go Western NL, and Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland to celebrate Tourism Week 2023!

We asked municipalities across the province: What value does tourism bring to your community?

Vital to the economic and sociocultural well-being of this province, tourism is an industry that can exist in our biggest cities and smallest communities. People from all backgrounds are working in tourism, growing the local economy, and sharing the culture, historic sites, natural environment, and heritage unique to each region. Mayor Darren Bent of Conception Bay South, Mayor Craig Scott of Torbay, Deputy Mayor Sheralyn Rumbolt of Norris Point, and Mayor Dan Bobbett of Paradise share why tourism matters to their communities in the video below:

We want YOU to share your tourism story! This Tourism Week, share a picture or video of your tourism business and your story of the value tourism brings to your community, the province, and the world!

Tag @HospitalityNL and be sure to use the hashtag #MyTourismStory to be part of the conversation.
