Hospitality NL is spreading awareness about several programs launched by Newfoundland and Labrador’s Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism which may benefit your business or employees. We believe that Immigration is one of the major aspects to consider in order to overcome the workforce shortage in our province.

 

Provincial Nominee Program

  • Under NLPNP the job or job offer should be for at least two years with the possibility of extension, from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer.

  • Under NLPNP the job or job offer should be for at least two years with the possibility of extension, from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer.

    • Pay should be in the form of a salary and benefits package that meets provincial employment standards and prevailing wage rates.
    • Contractual or locum positions (short-term positions usually less than twelve (12) months in duration with little or no possibility of extension) are not eligible for the NLPNP.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot is a joint federal-provincial program targeting skilled workers and international students.

It is an employer-driven immigration program.

As you can see in the above link as an employer you need to take two trainings in order to be able to apply for endorsement:

1-Onboarding Training offered by IRCC

2- Intercultural competency Training offered by ANC (unless you’re exempted by the province). To register email ANC at aip@ancnl.ca.

The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) has also arranged a series of information sessions, beginning on January 11, 2022, for both employers and employees.  We encourage you to register for the sessions using the link below at your earliest convenience.
