Hospitality NL is pleased to announce The Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of  Rural Economic Development will be attending our 2023 Conference and Trade Show. 

Minister Hutchings will attend the 39th annual event, happening in Gander from February 28 – March 02, 2023. Hundreds of Newfoundland & Labrador’s tourism business operators and partners will gather for learning and networking sessions, the annual Fun Night, and the Tourism Excellence Awards Gala. On Wednesday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m., conference attendees are invited to attend the Advocacy in Action panel, featuring the Minister, where she will speak with provincial tourism leaders and take questions from the audience.

Minister Hutchings brings over 30 years of experience as a small business owner in the Atlantic Canadian tourism industry.  Since 2015, she has been proudly serving her community as the Member of Parliament for the Long Range Mountains in Newfoundland and Labrador. As Minister of Rural Economic Development, she has been focused on improving rural housing supply, access to transit services, and workforce development in rural and remote communities. Working across government, she has been a constant advocate for rural priorities, ensuring a rural lens is applied to all decision-making.
