Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador

Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador (HNL), established in 1983, is a non-profit membership association that leads, supports, represents and enhances the province’s tourism industry. HNL is the largest industry association in the province with a membership of over 600 members, 8 full-time staff and a 11 member volunteer Board of Directors.

As the voice of the provincial tourism industry, HNL’s mandate is to advocate on behalf of members and the entire tourism industry by informing members of industry information and representing industry interests to all levels of government. HNL also plays a critical role in addressing the professional development needs of our members by offering industry the tools and support required to enhance the quality of their products or services and improves their business viability.

HNL’s role with the Tourism Board is to represent the interests of industry in the development of investment priorities and initiatives.

Destination St. John’s

Destination St. John’s is a private sector company operating under the direction of a Board of Directors on behalf of its members. We are first and foremost a sales organization; selling members products to the world. We currently target: major meetings, conventions and incentive travel; sport and cultural events; leisure and group tours.

We work in partnership with our members and major facility owners to offer the best facilities North America has to offer to host your event and we combine that with a vast array of social and cultural experiences that are second to none in the world.

Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland

Legendary Coasts of Eastern Newfoundland (LCEN) is an industry-led, not-for-profit organization representing Eastern NL including the Burin Peninsula, Bonavista Peninsula, and the Northern and Southern Avalon regions outside the greater St. John’s area.

The board of directors is comprised of representatives from the major touring routes in the destination, including the Heritage Run, the Discovery Trail (including the Osprey Trail), the Baccalieu Trail, the Irish Loop and the Cape Shore Loop. The board of directors is also supported by directors at large and Tourism Advisory Sub Committees, comprised of members from each sub-region.

Legendary Coasts is dedicated to supporting its members and Vision 2020 through a variety of initiatives that include marketing, quality assurance, and product development.

Destination Labrador

Destination Labrador (DL) is a partnership-based, not-for-profit industry association representing a diverse tourism sector with substantial public and private investments in the fishing/hunting, snowmobiling, outdoor adventure, cruise and sight-seeing tourism product sectors.

Destination Labrador provides support to local Labrador businesses/organizations, tour operators, receptive tourism operators, travel media, consumers seeking trip counseling, and Labrador tourism stakeholders through partnership marketing and capacity building initiatives such as training, product development and advocacy support.

The Board of DL is comprised of regional representatives from each of the four major regions of Labrador (North, West, Central, and Straits/South). Accordingly, the regions each appoint two members to form the governing body of DL. One of these two appointments is a member of the private-sector, most of which are appointed by the regional tourism associations within Labrador.

Destination Labrador works closely with other pan-Labrador organizations and in particular has formal marketing partnerships with Labrador Winter Trails Inc and the Cruise Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Go Western Newfoundland

Go Western Newfoundland is the official tourism destination management organization for Western Newfoundland and Southern Labrador from Port aux Basques, located on the provinces south west coast to St. Anthony on the Great Northern Peninsula and up to Battle Harbour on Labrador’s south coast.

The region boasts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Gros Morne National Park and L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, among the longest whale watching and iceberg seasons available, Marble Mountain, ‘the best skiing east of the Rockies’, numerous historic sites & museums, spectacular scenery, an abundance of wildlife and active pursuits making it an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.

The organization represents the entire region’s tourism stakeholders including accommodations, transportation, tour operators, attractions, activity providers and communities.

Adventure Central Newfoundland

Adventure Central Newfoundland (AC) is a member-driven non-profit destination management organization focused on promoting Central Newfoundland as a unique multi-season tourism destination. AC is the primary marketing arm for tourism in the region, with a mandate to attract new visitors, extend the length of tourist stays and foster new revenue opportunities for its members by strengthening the regions tourism marketing effort.
