For employers and professionals in the Canadian tourism sector, emerit is the most recognized training and certification brand.

emerit has been developed by the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) in collaboration with tourism industry professionals. It has become synonymous with excellence, credibility, and professionalism in the Canadian tourism sector. When employees meet emerit standards, they rank among the most exceptional in the tourism sector. When employees are emerit-certified, they are the best they can be.

Discover Tourism
The Discover Tourism career awareness program was developed to communicate employment and career opportunities in the tourism sector to a range of target audiences including Youth, New Canadians, Persons with Disabilities, Pre and Post Retirees. The primary message is that the tourism industry is more than you think it is. Tourism is about learning and growing at any age and as much or as little as an individual may choose. It’s for those who want basic opportunities, but equally aspirational for those who seek work experience and growth potential. Tourism is about building a future.
