Humber Valley Resort Wins Four Top International Bentley Awards - November 19, 2004

On Friday, November 12th, Humber Valley Resort received four prestigious Bentley International Homes Awards at a black tie awards ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, England. The Resort was presented with awards for Best Canadian Development, Best Canadian Property, Best Winter Sports Development and Best Property Advertisement.

The Bentley Awards, now in their 11th year, are referred to as the Oscars of the property industry. Sponsored by Bentley Motors, International Homes Magazine and The Daily Mail, the Bentley Awards recognize the highest levels of achievement in the property field, internationally. For the third consecutive year, Humber Valley Resort has stepped up to the winner’s circle. In 2003, the Resort received both the Best Canadian Resort, and Best International Resort Awards; while receiving the Best Canadian Resort Award in 2002.

In less than two years, Humber Valley Resort has sold its initial 300 properties offering worldwide and proved itself as a very unique international Resort development. With four seasons of activities, the Resort offers beautifully appointed luxury chalets on forested lots averaging an acre in size. The current development spoils its guests with the 18 hole championship River Course, the Eagle’s Perch Clubhouse and Restaurant, the Beach House Bar and Restaurant directly on the sandy beaches of Deer Lake and an exclusive Activities Department to custom design clients’ time at the Resort. Amongst the current property owners, approximately 54% are from the United Kingdom, 33% are from Ireland and 12% from other parts of Europe, Asia, the United States and Canada.

Humber Valley Resort officially opens its doors on December 22nd to Humber Valley owners and vacationing clients. This coincides with the launch of weekly direct charters from Gatwick to Deer Lake with an average flight time of approximately five hours.

Humber Valley Resort, a new four season, international development, is located on the north side of the Humber River and Deer Lake. The Western Newfoundland development features 321 freehold privately owned vacation properties operating in a rental pool. The Resort offers three to six bedroom luxury chalets for traveling clientele, complimented by world-class services and amenities.

To date, 60 chalets are complete with another 80 under construction in 2004. Each chalet is strategically hidden in the forest either abutting the 18-hole championship golf course or cresting a magnificent view. The central club house and beach house restaurants will be opened at Christmas 2004.
