| Newman Wine Vaults open for the summer 2008 season - June 18, 2008 | Newman Wine Vaults Provincial Historic Site open for the summer 2008 season June 10th - August 30th!
The Newman Wine Vaults Provincial Historic Site, located at 436 Water Street, St. John's, on the corner of Springdale Street, is now open for the summer season. The site will be open to the public Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM until the end of August, as well as for special events throughout the summer. Guests are welcome to visit the gift shop and to take a guided tour of the site.
Admission by donation.
Special events at the Newman Wine Vaults this summer include:
Windows on the West End walking tour – Saturday, June 21st
Jazz and Poetry with Herb Hopkins and the Jimmy Thomson Trio – Thursday, July 3rd
Napoleon Surrenders! – Tuesday, July 15th
Rats in the Walls & The Cask of Amontillado - two classic tales of horror with Shakespeare by the Sea Theatre every Sunday & Monday evening from July 6th - August 18th
Port Tasting with Tom Beckett – Throughout July and August - dates TBA
Storytelling with Dale Jarvis - Dates TBA
