The Fairmont Newfoundland Earns 2004 Four Diamond Award For 10th Year - March 18, 2004

The Fairmont Newfoundland is pleased to announce that its fine dining room, The Cabot Club, has received the prestigious 2004 CAA/AAA Four Diamond rating, once again affirming its status as the premier dining location in the province.

The Cabot Club is the only restaurant in Newfoundland & Labrador, and one of only seven in Atlantic Canada, to receive the 2004 CAA/AAA Four Diamond Award. This most recent decoration from CAA/AAA also marks The Cabot Club's 10th consecutive year to be awarded this honour. 'We are very excited that The Cabot Club continues to be honoured for its commitment to quality, as we strive to deliver an authentic dining experience, complete with personalized service, first class food and impressive surroundings', boasts Ken Richards, Manager, The Cabot Club and Outside Catering.

The Cabot Club also joins a select group of CAA/AAA Four Diamond winners. Only 3.25 percent of an estimated 31,000 CAA/AAA Rated® lodgings and 3.21 percent of an estimated 18,700 restaurants are awarded with the CAA/AAA Four Diamond designation each year.

Recently, The Cabot Club constructed a private dining area within the dining room to accommodate up to 14 people. The elegant room surrounded with etched glass windows, is located on the top level of the dining room and offers a discreet and relaxing atmosphere. Since its opening in July, it has proven to be a welcome addition to the customary splendour of The Cabot Club.

Open Monday to Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., The Fairmont Newfoundland's Cabot Club has established a reputation as being one of Canada's 100 best restaurants.
