Stakeholder consultation session in L’Anse au Clair
The Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation are conducting province-wide stakeholder consultations regarding the review of the Tourism Establishment Act and Regulations and the Innkeepers Act. A Review Committee comprised of industry members, Hospitality Newfoundland & Labrador and the department has been established to facilitate the review.
The purpose of the review is to obtain input and suggestions from industry on the function, purpose as well as role of the existing Tourism Establishment Act and Regulations and the Innkeeper’s Act. These discussions will assist the Review Committee in providing recommendations for possible new legislation related to the tourism establishment licensing process. This will ensure that the legislation is relevant in the current business environment.
